Found this recipe for Lunch Lady Brownies on Facebook. The recipe came from Donna Larson, and is a 50 yr old Recipe. I made Lunch Lady Brownies and took them to work for my coworkers to try.
Ingredients
- 1 c butter
- 1/2 c cocoa
- 2 c flour
- 2 c sugar
- 4 eggs
- 4 tsp vanilla
- 1 c chopped nuts (optional)
- Icing Ingredients
- 1/4 c softened butter
- 1/4 c can milk (regular milk is fine)
- 1/4 c cocoa
- 3 c powdered sugar
- Dash salt
Instructions
- Pour in 9×13 pan
- Bake 20-25 minutes on 350.
- Check at 20 minutes
- Mix all icing ingredients together; frost as desired.
Lunch Lady Brownies mainly have a fudge taste. You can whip these up quick, and easy. You could take these to a party, and they would be a hit.

They look divine, Nicki! Great to have a recipe that you most likely have the ingredients “on hand” for. And since most ladies like chocolate, seems like a great recipe to keep around.
